The Three Stops

Thingvellir National Park

1.5-2 hrs

UNESCO World Heritage Site. The rift valley between the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates. Site of the original Althing parliament, founded in 930 AD.

Geysir & Strokkur

45-60 min

The original geyser that gave all geysers their name. Strokkur erupts every 5-10 minutes to 20-40 metres. The surrounding Haukadalur geothermal valley is alive with bubbling mud pools and steam vents.

Gullfoss

45-60 min

The Golden Waterfall. The Hvita river drops 32 metres in two cascading stages into a dramatic canyon. One of Iceland's most photographed natural features.
