Our Verdict
This is the best short-break Iceland route. Four days is genuinely enough to feel like you've seen Iceland rather than just sampled it. A standard 2WD car handles every stop on this route. Budget ISK 60,000–80,000 total for a solo traveller including fuel, entry fees, and mid-range meals.
